DR ZENA IBRAHIM
Dr Zena Ibrahim completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Western Australia.
Zena is known for her compassionate, holistic approach to patient care. She prides herself on building strong rapport and trust with her patients and is dedicated to delivering a warm, patient-centred dental experience.
She has a special interest in working with neurodiverse patients, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, and is highly skilled in supporting patients who experience dental anxiety or dental phobia.
Zena also has a natural ability to connect with children. Her calm, patient manner helps young patients feel comfortable and supported, allowing treatment to be completed with confidence and care.
Zena’s been recognised for her work in trauma informed care in dentistry, by being asked to present on this topic to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). AHPRA is the Government Department who regulate health practitioners in Australia and manage the Dental Board of Australia, so it is a validation of the work she has done in this area, and considered a subject matter expert in this field.
Community and Volunteering:
Zena is a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in dentistry and for improving access to oral health care in underserved communities. She serves on several professional boards and plays an active role in shaping the future of dental practice in Western Australia.
As a board member of the Women in Dentistry initiative, Zena is dedicated to empowering and mentoring the next generation of female dental professionals. Through this platform, she works to foster greater diversity, inclusion, and support for women in the dental field. Her advocacy focuses on providing opportunities for women to thrive professionally while also addressing the unique challenges they face within the industry. Zena regularly speaks at events and workshops, encouraging young women to pursue leadership roles in dentistry and to confidently navigate their careers.
In addition, Zena has been involved with Healing Smiles, an organization dedicated to providing dental care to underserved communities, particularly those facing significant barriers to accessing treatment. Through Healing Smiles, she volunteers her time and expertise to offer free dental services to individuals who may otherwise go without care. Whether providing essential dental treatments or advocating for policy changes to improve oral health outcomes, Zena's involvement with Healing Smiles reflects her strong belief in the transformative power of healthcare to positively impact individuals and communities.
Zena also regularly volunteers her time with local community initiatives, such as soup kitchens.
Personal Life:
Outside of dentistry, Zena enjoys tending to her plants and spending time with her cats. She loves being outdoors — whether walking along the beach, going for a dive, or learning to surf.

DR JOACHIM PEERMAMODE
Joachim, or JP as he prefers to go by, graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Western Australia in 2021, after completing a Batchelor of Science degree. However, his journey with our clinic began much earlier; JP joined our Perth clinic in 2018 as a dental nurse while studying at UWA, providing him with a great understanding of patient care and clinic operations. He also happened to be nursing for his brother, Adam, who also works for us as a dentist.
JP enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in oral surgery. He is committed to continuous professional development, regularly engaging in further education to enhance his skills and provide the best possible care for his patients.
Outside of his professional life, JP loves catching up with his friends and travelling when he can.
Although JP practices predominantly in our Perth clinic he will be visiting regularly to see patients, especially those who require extractions or the removal of their wisdom teeth. He will also be performing treatment under IV Sedation and Laughing Gas for those with dental anxiety.
